Lebanon, Gaza, Iran ... Oh My!!!
This is what I find in the news right now as I do a quick search.
- UN Secretary General Kofi Annan Thursday said the prospects for an imminent ceasefire in the Israeli-Lebanon crisis are dim
- Iran vows to keep on nuke program
- Russia May Send Ground Troops To the Middle East.
- Fox News analyst compares Israelis to Nazis
- Hezbollah threat to U.S. 'serious'
Add all the earthquakes, famines, other wars, etc and I can not see how you can say that that we are NOT living in the Last Days.
I wonder what the Preterists, Kingdom Now, Dominianists are thinking? It seems pretty clear to me that we are seeing the signs of the times, do they see it too? I mean you would have to have a serious brain dysfunction to not see the events taking place all around us and not say that these are the times spoken of by Christ, the apostles and the prophets.
Luk 21:7 -11 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Please continue to pray for the Israeli soldiers and the people of Israel. We as Christians must stand with Israel.

Dear Ray, I don't know if you have an answer for my question or not. But in light of what is happening in the Middleeast and possibly here in America if Iran and N.Korea have their way. Except for witnessing to everyone, what steps should we be taking here in preparation for what's to come if the Lord should terry?????? |

I think we are setting the stage for the final battle and for the return of Christ, if we as Humans keep doing what we are doing to each other,we will destory each other, and the only hope we have is in Jesus Christ. May God help us all in these days,There will never be peace in the Middle East until the Second coming of Christ. |

Hello Handyman,
Here is a parable for you and the others to think on that might answer your question.
A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.
Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.
When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.
Be assured the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee in most cases, just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... and then began eyeing each other's cups.
Now consider this: Life is the coffee, and the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us."
God brews the coffee, not the cups.......... enjoy your coffee.

| I posted a thought on iran on another blog, but a couple of thoughts here, anti israel protests breaking out in, no less San Francisco. I can understand wishing for peace, but supporting terror, i cannot. These same people who, if San franciso was under attack, would most certainly support their defenders. Also, Do you think the GBLT pride parade, sked in Israel in Aug, and in Jerusalem Aug 10 will still happen, or thru this, will God not allow, at this time his holy city to be desecrated. He certainly works in ways that are not ours. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and look up. |

| The very mention of Russia points us straight to the scriptures in Ezekiel. In addition, if you look at the map, you will see that the troop build up is not too far from the very valley that the Final Battle will take place. We MUST pray for those we know who are not believers, and begin to witness to them, so that they will not be left behind when our Lord does come back, and perhaps face the Great Tribulation. |

I can say I am excited, but yet with sweet bitterness of those who are rejecting the Lord. I give you a note of praise, most of my family just recently has come to know Jesus as their Savior. The Urgency to pray, read the word, and share the gospel has never been so great! Visiting many churches has left me in great sadness for those embracing user friendly, emerging church methods and forsaking the word. The perfect word from the Lord, our bread. I just encourage you all to keep your eyes focused on Jesus the author and perfector of our Faith! When it seems you are alone, you are not! Rejoice the Lord is preserving you and giving you the Joy! Praise Jesus! As we wait and watch! Jesus! Psalm 34:3 "Oh Magnify the Lord with Me!" |

Lamentations 3:22 - 26 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

In the last hours of the Civil War, in a desolate, muddy cornfield . . .
Jeremiah Tate, a battle-hardened Union officer who has long since forgotten God, shoots and severely wounds a young Confederate named Elijah Bell. With the words “Be God’s messenger as I have been,” the dying Bell hands Tate a worn Bible.
And so begins that Bible’s moving and mysterious journey through history—told in parallel story lines—beginning with Tate and leading to Gary Brandon.
