The Destruction of America

There are many out there that say that America is named in the bible, often they point to Babylon and equate it to New York or Washington DC.

I can’t say that I agree.

No where in scripture can I find America named. Now I have to admit that there are some places where she might be included, but she is not named in scripture.

One point I would like to make here. Just because something is not mentioned in scripture does not provide proof of the matter. America is not mentioned in scripture, but that does not mean that she does not have a role to play in these last days.

I mention these things because we are witnessing the decline of an empire, that being the United States of America.

It really isn’t bible prophecy coming to pass, and yet it is.

I say it is because we know that the Antichrist’s empire will affect the world, and because of this fact the empire of the US needs to be brought down to her knees, before the antichrist’s empire rises.

We are a Christian nation founded on Christian principals. We are a nation that has forgotten her past. You see, it was King James, the very same king who authorized the King James Bible, which provided the charter to the Virginia colonists in Jamestown that they were to come here to this new land to proclaim the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

“We, greatly commending, and graciously accepting of, their Desires for the Furtherance of so noble a Work, which may, by the Providence of Almighty God, hereafter tend to the Glory of his Divine Majesty, in propagating of Christian Religion to such People, as yet live in Darkness and miserable Ignorance of the true Knowledge and Worship of God, and may in time bring the Infidels and Savages, living in those parts, to human Civility, and to a settled and quiet Government: DO, by these our Letters Patents, graciously accept of, and agree to, their humble and well-intended Desires;”

Jamestown Charter - 1606

I point this out because our nation was in fact founded on Christ and on Christian principals. Our charge, given to us by King James, was to share the gospel to the world. If you listen to the modern historians today, we were never a nation founded on Christian principals, nor had anything to do with God in the first place.

I do not see this nation named in scripture, but we are a nation that has been divinely ordained by God and provided our charge by a King appointed by God.

Fast forward to today and what do we have? A nation that is coming apart at the seams and much of if is our own undoing. Now granted it is coming from the hands of those leaders we have elected over the years. But never the less, because we as Christians have refused to occupy till He returns, we have become complacent and now have the leaders and leadership we deserve.

Sitting this day in the White House we have a leader who does not stand on the side of Christ and that is very clear. In fact every chance he gets, he chooses to stand on the side of Allah, which is more troubling.

We are a nation that has turned her back upon the Lord. We spit in his face and parade our sins in front of Him, challenging HIM to come down and smite us if He will. We call evil good and good evil, we revel at all hours of the day. We murder our children and allow the abominations to run rampant. If you want to see this nation, read Isaiah 5 which is also titled “the judgment of the nation.”

I preach on this chapter often and I always point out how God judges the nation.

Isa 5:25 (KJV)  Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcasses were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Isa 5:26 (KJV)  And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:

Isa 5:27 (KJV)  None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:

Isa 5:28 (KJV)  Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses' hooves shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:

Isa 5:29 (KJV)  Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.

Isa 5:30  And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.

Folks, when I read this chilling prophecy the God speaks against the nation who turns their backs upon Him; my mind screams of Muslim hordes hell bent on destruction, the sleeper cells just waiting for their cue, the jihadist cult seeking our destruction. Here God is addressing Judah, but when you look at the sins Judah was committing and look at the US today, how can a fair and just God punish one and not the other?

Ruth Graham, the wife of Billy Graham said the following…

"If God doesn't soon bring judgment upon America, He'll have to go back and apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah!"

I read Isaiah 5 and I see Islam at the doorstep. But more than that, Here is just a small sample of what the Muslims believe and stand upon themselves…

"Seek out your enemies relentlessly." (Surah 4:103-)

"Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends." (Surah 5:51)

"Make war on them until idolatry shall cease and God's religion shall reign supreme." (Surah 8:36-)

"...make war on the leaders of unbelief...Make war on them: God will chastise them at your hands and humble them. He will grant you victory over them..." (Surah 9:12-)

"Fight against such as those to whom the Scriptures were given [Jews and Christians]...until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued." (Surah 9:27-)

"Prophet make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home." (Surah 9:73)

"Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Deal firmly with them." (Surah 9:121-)

"Muhammad is God's apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another." (Surah 48:29)

I agree with Ruth Graham and I believe it is just a short matter of time before we start seeing His hand of blessing and protection lift off of this nation.

2Chron 7:14 (KJV)  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
