The Effects of a Middle East War By Ray Gano |

The Six-Day War
(Hebrew: מלחמת ששת הימים, Milhemet Sheshet Ha‑Yamim - Arabic: حرب الأيام الستة, ħarb al‑ayyam as‑sitta ;), also known as the 1967 Arab-Israeli War, the Third Arab-Israeli War, Six Days' War, an‑Naksah (The Setback), or the June War, was fought between Israel and its Arab neighbours Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Algeria also contributed troops and arms to the Arab forces. In the months before June 1967, Egypt expelled the United Nations Emergency Force from the Sinai Peninsula, increased its military activity near the border, blockaded the Straits of Tiran to Israeli ships, and called for unified Arab action against Israel. In June 1967, Israel launched a pre-emptive attack on Egypt's airforce fearing an imminent invasion by Egypt. Jordan then attacked the Israeli cities of Jerusalem and Netanya., At the war's end, Israel had gained control of the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula, the West Bank, and the Golan Heights. The results of the war affect the geopolitics of the region to this day. (1)
The Yom Kippur War
Ramadan War or October War (Hebrew: מלחמת יום הכיפורים; transliterated: Milkhemet Yom HaKipurim or מלחמת יום כיפור, Milkhemet Yom Kipur; Arabic: حرب أكتوبر; transliterated: ħarb October or حرب تشرين, ħarb Tishrin), also known as the 1973 Arab-Israeli War and the Fourth Arab-Israeli War, was fought from October 6 to October 26, 1973, between Israel and a coalition of Arab states led by Egypt and Syria. The war began with a surprise joint attack by Egypt and Syria on the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. Egypt and Syria crossed the cease-fire lines in the Sinai and Golan Heights, respectively, which had been captured by Israel in 1967 during the Six-Day War.
The Egyptians and Syrians advanced during the first 24–48 hours, after which momentum began to swing in Israel's favor. By the second week of the war, the Syrians had been pushed entirely out of the Golan Heights. In the Sinai to the south, the Israelis struck at the "seam" between two invading Egyptian armies, crossed the Suez Canal (where the old ceasefire line had been), and cut off the Egyptian third army just as a United Nations cease-fire came into effect. If you remember back in the 1970’s the US as well as any other countries that supported Israel, suffered the OPEC Oil Embargo. At the time, gas prices jumped, gas was then rationed and you could only fill up your car on “odd” or “even” days based upon your license plate number.
Here it the US, we went to a year round day light savings time pushing all of the clocks one hour a head.
US automakers were jumping through hoops to make a better more fuel efficient car. Oil companies and energy providers were searching out alternative fuel and energy sources.
The “Central Banks” (Aka Fed Reserve) decided to sharply cut interest rates to encourage growth, deciding that inflation was a secondary concern. This was a horrible decision because it whip lashed the economy into some of the largest interest rates ever. Remember the outrageous interest rates just for home loans?
Now reflect on the 2006 Lebanon War, what did we see from that? We are still feeling the consequences.
I know one thing is that gas prices skyrocketed and never came down.
Fast forward to today, we are now looking at $4.19 a gallon. Do you really think that we will see these prices ever go down? I bet there are some of you saying right now as you read this, “Well it will go down to $2.75 - $3.00 a gallon again.” Do you realize what that is costing us? Folks, I was paying .99 cents a gallon in 2000. And all these Sunday morning financial good ol talking head boys say there is no inflation?
The snowball is going to start rolling down hill here very soon. With it will be the inflation of much of what we consume daily.
But Ray, why are you pointing all of these things out; and what does it have to do with Bible Prophecy?
Revelation 6:5-6 (KJV) And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
I have stated many times that the antichrist’s kingdom will not pop up over night. The foundations need to be laid and systems put in place.
I point all of this out because things are bad and will not be getting any better any time soon. We know this based upon God’s Word and the study of Bible Prophecy. Again, read Revelations 6.
We also know that there are some prophecies that have yet come to pass.
One such prophecy is the destruction of Damascus found in Isaiah 17 and the Gog Magog invasion found in Ezekiel 38 – 39.
Do you realize that as of today, Israel is now completely surrounded by her enemies? No longer is Jordan a middle of the road country as she once was.
Jordan has presented a new plan to Israel and the Palestinians. The plan calls for a new state framework linking Jordan and the Palestinian Authority, to be established before the rise of an independent Palestinian state. Amman is not thinking in terms of a confederation or of the West Bank's reversion to annexed Hashemite territory, the status it held before Jordan's 1967 war defeat. – Lekarev Report – 05-11-07
Israel’s “back” is truly up against the Mediterranean sea.
Presented with the facts of today we can clearly see that the Middle East is preparing for war. Jordan presenting their ideas have added to the facts at hand. No longer is it a matter of “IF” but a matter of “WHEN”
I personally think that the “when” will be a lot sooner. Man’s nature is towards greed, power and sin. The islamofascists have their fingers on the trigger and they are doing all that they can to hold themselves back.
The powers that be are also waiting in the wings to gobble up more, moving us toward the antichrist’s kingdom.
The Lord is coming soon, but with the poor decisions that the US as well as other western nations are making towards Israel, I feel that the Lords hand of protection will stop showing His grace towards us.
More and more we as bible believing Christians are in the minority. Problems are coming down the road and yes, we as Christians will be the ones blamed for all the worlds’ woes too.
People and nations are becoming more tolerant towards Islam, new age, paganism and eastern practices. They are also becoming adamantly against Christianity. In fact they hate us just for who we are and who we serve. This in and of itself is bible prophecy coming to pass.
Very soon another Middle East war will take place. I as well as many others believe that Damascus will be destroyed by Israel and her nukes. Will that take place this war? We do not know, only God knows that. But it is a prophecy that has yet to be fulfilled. The issue is that if Israel does strike, those who support Israel will be greatly looked down upon.
The great thing is that we as Christians will have a chance to share the gospel. Here we will be able to point to Isaiah 17. Once again showing God’s Word is the absolute truth. God is a God of His Word.
How many people will see the truth in God’s Word and then come to the saving grace of His salvation?
Here is the key question.
How many of us are prepared and positioned to share the gospel in a time such as that?
Another Middle East war involving Syria and Jordan will have global ramifications in many sectors. There is even the chance the trade and commerce will come to a drastic slow down due to cause and effect of such an event.
What happens if Israel does use nukes on Syria and Damascus is wiped off the face of the earth here soon?
Can you fully realize the global cause and effects that come into play?
I ask again, how many of us are prepared and positioned to share the gospel in events such as this?
But here is a question more horrifying…
How many out there still have their head buried in the sand and are not positioned to do a single thing but become victims of the storm?
Which servant are you?
Mat 25:13 – 14 (KJV) For the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
Mat 25:19 – 23 (KJV) After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Mat 25:24 – 30 (KJV) Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strewed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strewed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto everyone that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
1Peter 3:15 (KJV) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Who Do You Serve?
Jesus stated the following…
John 14:6 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
If you do not have Christ in your life, you will spend eternity in hell. This is a fact. It does not matter if you believe this or not, it is the truth spoken by Jesus himself. If your name is not written in the Lambs Book of Life you will go to hell for what you have not done and that is accepting Christ as your personal savior. To be placed in the Lamb Book of Life, you need to turn your life completely over to Him. Having “head” knowledge or “just believing in Christ” is not the same as having“heart” knowledge with Christ living in your heart.
James 2:19 (KJV) Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
We work hard at Prophezine to show that Bible Prophecy is coming to pass. Because of this fact, the Bible is true. Since the Bible is the true and inerrant word of God, there is a heaven and there is a hell.
If you claim the title of “Christian” then take account of yourself this day. Many claim the title, but we read in God’s Word that the title does not get you into heaven.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Who you serve will determine where you will spend eternity. If you are not serving Christ and a true child of God, then you are serving Satan and a child of the enemy.
If you are not 110% sure, then take account of yourself, your very life depends upon it.
1John 1:9 (KJV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
