Weighed and found empty...

When one shines the light of God's Word into the false teachings of Rick Warren, his false gospel is weighed and found empty.
The following quotes are from a
news article in the Orange County Register. I think that those that love God and
His Word would find the quotes and observations disturbing. If a secular
reporter can see through the smoke and mirrors, then why can't those who claim
to be Christians?
It is the candlelight Christmas Eve service at
Saddleback, and celebration is the theme of Rick Warren's sermon. Christmas, the
Saddleback Church pastor tells the audience, is a party, and, "God likes a
party." The audience chuckles, then listens appreciatively as Warren reminds his
flock whom the party is for: Jesus Christ. Seamlessly, Warren shifts
gears.
Where in the Word of God does it say "God likes a
party"? Where in the Word of God does it imply that "God likes a
party"? Rick Warren gives a token mention of Jesus and then launches
into the real reason he has allowed this message to be internationaly
televised.
"When I wrote
the book 'The Purpose-Driven Life,' the very first sentence was, 'It's not about
you,' " Warren says. "You were made for more than success. You were made for
significance." What follows is an introduction to both "The
Purpose-Driven Life," the book that has built Warren's name, and to his PEACE
plan, the program that may cement it.
The Christmas service appears to be nothing more than an infomercial
paid for by Fox News to hoc Rick Warren's books, and false P.E.A.C.E.
plan
Warren's pursuit of growth, along with a
visible enjoyment of celebrity, has led some to question whether Warren is
building a worldly, rather than a spiritual, kingdom.
It is a charge Warren vigorously
denies.
Rick Warren can make all the
denials he wants, but has been exposed as a liar by many. Joseph Farah
of World Net Daily got a dose of Rick Warren's willingness to lie, then
when publicly confronted with the outright lies he began to attack and
minimize Joseph Farah. This is typical of Rick Warren and those who
serve up his purpose driven arsenic.
The Christmas broadcast, however, may be a recognition of who Rick Warren increasingly is: the country boy-turned-political kingmaker, the Southern Baptist pastor who hopes to lead an ecumenical "reformation" of the Christian church, the master communicator whose gnostic style has stripped Christianity of its mystery but also of its difficulty, attracting in the process a new generation of worshippers.
How important is Rick Warren?
"Quite important," says Mark Noll, a Notre Dame professor regarded as a leading authority on evangelical history.
Like many of the new generation of
powerful pastors mentioned as possible successors to the Rev. Billy
Graham, Warren has his fame vested in the "holistic gospel" – on social issues
such as poverty and the environment – rather than the divisive
political themes that have characterized the evangelical movement for
the past three decades.
Please
note...The above observations are made by a secular newspaper
reporter. She is more willing to be truthful about the false gospel
that Rick Warren is teaching than the multitude of Pastors and church
goers that unquestioningly follow him. Folks the Bible is so very
clear about what we are to do in regards to those that would sell a
false gospel. They are to be marked and avoided. The false gospel that
Rick Warren teaches is arsenic to a persons eternal life. It is leading
people to
hell with a false since of security. Anyone who follows Rick Warren
without question needs to get their Bible out and read Matthew 7:21-23.
But don't stop there. The Bible should be our measuring tool, not Rick
Warren's arsenic of choice. Since he props up his false gospel with
every corrupt translation known to the modern world, I would suggest
reading a King James Bible. It is the only Bible that Rick Warren uses
very sparingly, and ONLY when he can twist and contort the the
particular passage to say what he wants it to say.
With each news article and each new public appearance the sheep's
costume that Rick Warren wears over his wolfs suit becomes a little more
transparent. How many will continue to follow this mans false gospel
without ever looking at their Bible to see if what his critics say is
true?
Even Warren agrees the PEACE plan will succeed as an
ecumenical movement only if it is authentically about the often-mentioned
"common good." He also acknowledges he will succeed only if he proves himself a
true representative of the elusive center and not, as some fear, an evangelical
Trojan horse, carrying a particular ideology to the world in the guise of an
appealing, purpose-driven message.
Warren has no problem with un-holy alliances
and actually prides himself on his worldy exploits for the Purpose
Driven life and now his false P.E.A.C.E. plan. The Bible has a lot to
say about being friends with the world, and warns quite sternly about
when the world speaks well of you.
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 16:25 KJV)

| I have felt out of the loop out here in rural WASH. and when Rick Warren popped up, I was wondering how I could have missed such a man in the 9 years I have devoted my life to the Lord. He made me feel uncomfortable and out of touch somehow. Now I know why. Thank you for speaking out. Sometimes I feel as though I have a spirit of discernment on me, this is one of those times. |

| Discernment of heresy seems to be a lost attribute among Christians today as they are willing to beleve and follow every nut that pops up in the church. |
